Ladies, Introducing the Shocker!

I confess to still being a little hung up on the shocker.

The End of the Trail

A happy ending for some. As usual, Rusty is not happy in the end.
Here's to Happy Trails to you, trailhands.

Craven's Comeuppance is Complete

Enemy combatant on his way to sleep deprivation, discomfort, humiliation, possible damage to internal organs, but at least he won't be tortured.

Coming tomorrow: the end of the trail!

The Mashup Madness Continues

Craven's plans are blowing apart, thanks to the comics Homeland Security team.

Trail Break

Just a short detour to see Peter Parker getting ready to treat MJ to the Shocker

Gun Control?

When guns are outlawed only outlaws (and caffeine-crazed, donut-junkie cops) will have guns.

Trust Me: You Don't Want to See The Next One.

Fist o' Justice

Only Marky Mark Mark would bring his empty hands to a gun fight and expect to win.

Buzzard Babbles

I like the way he wields that shotgun.

Mark's not thinking clearly

Once again he's let the little head take over. Will he ever learn?

A Sign on the Dark Trail

It is 12:15 on Friday 8/10, and I just finished putting together the final scene of this Dark Trail. I promised myself I would finish this story arc, and I have. Today's post was Dark Trail 75; the final episode is Dark Trail 85 (though there is a 76a).
Once I post Dark Trail 85, I'm going to give up regular posting. I invite readers to email me their own edits/mashups/revisions of comics or whatever to post here.

A little continuity criticism

Psycho Sam Hill knows how to distract the sadistic Mark, with the shotgun-toting Buzzard lurking nearby. Will Mark fall into the trap?

Sam's Strange Desires

Mark's about to bust up the party.

Sam and Buzzard have a necktie party

I think Mark could have gotten there sooner if he had a modern rental car instead of the antique he's driving.

Comment Settings Changed

I changed the comment settings so that anyone may comment; you do not have to register with blogger to be able to comment here. I don't know why I didn't do it before.
Love to hear from you, and now it's less hassle than ever.

Buzzard's Magic Shotgun

I especially enjoy the way Buzzard's weapon (and I mean no double entendre by that) appears and disappears through the next few episodes: when he needs both hands it is gone, when he needs to appear threatening it is there, but he is never shown picking it up or putting it down. About ten episodes from now, I have put his knocked-off hat back on his head as a kind of homage to this phenomenon (I claim).

Trail Mark Celebration

This image is saved in my computer as "Dark Trail 69." I think that deserves some kind of recognition. It is neither the 69th episode I've "unpacked," nor the 69th post of The Dark Trail. Nevertheless, it is Dark Trail 69, and if you're a dark trailhand you certainly know why I think that is particularly worth noting. So... duly noted.

A Murderous Moron

Listen! If you haven't been reading Mark Trail, you're missing out. Today he delivered his patented roundhouse right and knocked Buzzard's Elmer Fudd hat right off his head. I'm not going to critique Mark for putting Sam in harm's way, or for not knowing the difference between a shotgun and a rifle, and I'm not going to comment on the classic line, "I'm you're worst nightmare." Those kinds of comments should be happening over at the Comics Curmudgeon or Nobody Loves Rusty. I'm just saying it's been a long wait since Mark unloaded on someone, and I've been chafing at the bit for it the past week and now it's happened!
