My Pirate Name

My pirate name is:
Black Jack Rackham

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

Look What I Found

I was just tapping away at the "next blog" button, and came upon a blog that linked to this. Someone else went through this craze, though on a much more sophisticated intellectual level, a year ago.

Also, this guy is from Maine!

Meanwhile back at the no-tell motel

I'd really like to drive the story line forward, with the obvious threats looming for Mark and Samantha as they catch on to what Councilman Craven and Buzzard are up to with Randi Rocket, but in his long-experienced wisdom, Cap'n Jack takes a more leisurely pace. So, it's time for more childish innuendoes and non-sequiturs.

A Little History

Dark Trail travelers may be interested to know the reason it is The Dark Trail. In my late teens I read a Louis L'Amour western called Ride the Dark Trail. "Logan Sackett had been riding the dark trail since who flung the chunk," in L'Amour-speak.
So you see, the Dark Trail may lead to many places and many times; just keep traveling.

This Guy's Name is Buzzard!

In Mark Trail, the dark-haired guy is still alive, probably destined for a right cross from Mark as the plot arc wraps up. I may be setting myself a real creative challenge by having him dumped for the buzzards.

Not Lucky at all today

Could be thousands of Celtics fans ready for the body farm, along with decades of winning tradition and pride. The buzzards are circling already.

Working out the kinks

Okay, so I don't exactly have a handle yet on how to integrate my existing Dark Trail episodes with the technology of blogger, as you see by the previous post. Hang in there Dark Trail Travellers, I'll get it figured out over the next few days, and get the full back catalog of Dark Trail episodes posted. Join me as I feel my way down the Dark Trail...

The Next Episode Begins

Mark is off to work on a story about birds around airports. Things get complicated very fast.

The Dark Trail

The Dark Trail peers into the hidden recesses of the subtext of the Mark Trail comic strip for purposes of criticism and commentary. This first post combines several strips from the last completed Mark Trail plot arc. If you missed it, you missed a doozy; I'm finding that the Sainted Jack Elrod often actually is very open to the Dark Side.
